Summer Spritz & Fizz Recipes
What could hit the spot during hot summer afternoons better than a glass of refreshing spritz or fizz? Here are four of our favourites.
Summer Thyme Spritz
Ingredients
30ml Cointreau
90ml prosecco
90ml soda water
ice
blood orange soda
1 sprig fresh lemon thyme
Summer Thyme Co. dehydrated ruby grapefruit to garnish
Method
Pour Cointreau, prosecco and soda water into a glass. Add ice, top up the glass with blood orange soda and garnish with Summer Thyme Co dehydrated ruby grapefruit & lemon thyme.
Hugo(ish) Spritz
Inspired by sunny afternoons in Italy with Hugo Spritz in hand.
Ingredients
45ml gin
120ml prosecco
60ml elderflower tonic
fresh mint leaves
ice
sparkling water or soda water
Summer Thyme Co. dehydrated limes to garnish
Method
Pour gin, prosecco and elderflower tonic into a large wine glass. Add a handful of fresh mint leaves. Fill the glass with ice and add a splash of sparkling water. Garnish with Summer Thyme Co dehydrated limes.
Fairy Floss Fizz
Ingredients
30ml pink gin
15ml Cointreau
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
ice
lemonade
unflavoured tonic water
Summer Thyme Co. dehydrated lemons to garnish
fairy floss
Method
Build the drink in a tall glass. Pour pink gin, Cointreau and lemon juice. Add ice and top up with lemonade & tonic water (50/50 ratio works best but you can skip the tonic water if you like sweet drinks). Garnish with Summer Thyme Co dehydrated lemon and fairy floss.
Negroni Spritz
Ingredients
45ml gin
45ml Campari
90ml prosecco
ice
orange sage soda water
Summer Thyme Co. dehydrated oranges to garnish
Method
Pour gin, Campari and prosecco into a glass. Add ice and top up with orange sage soda water. Garnish with Summer Thyme Co dehydrated oranges.
